Audrey II

For my Scenic Painting II class, we were tasked with making our own style of the Audrey II prop from Little Shop of Horrors. I wanted to create a version of Audrey that was feminine, mysterious, and unassuming, almost a physical manifestation of the phrase “looks can be deceiving.” The whole atmosphere surrounding Audrey is that no one expects a plant, of all things, to create so much violence, and I wanted to embody that in my project.

The projects from my class were donated to the Off Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors, where they now live in their lobby display!
